This is a painting called 'Red Flag, Montauk' that I love because it captures a moment...a moment that is beautiful and fun but yet there is underlying danger and threat. The concerned Mom and the ready to bolt lifeguard really contrast with the blissfully unaware kids in the surf and this made this image really exciting to paint for me.
